Teaching

My primary teaching interest is in the area of regional economic/social development, economic policies, international political economy and institutional change. I often build on examples from Europe. My teaching draws on economic geography, particularly regional geography, economic sociology and political economy. I taught in the United States, Italy and Russia. To know more about my teaching style, and read the opinions of my former students, see statement of teaching philosophy

I currently focus on undergraduate education. In developing a course, I try to achieve a balance between tough academic readings, independent research, and in-class exercises.

My syllabi follow.
